A period of several months of performing for their Count 4 My 8 Beat Tour went by before their next release. Finally in July, AKG released the "Nano-Mugen Compilation 2006" album. The album was a mixture of English and Japanese songs from all of the bands that planned to attend AKGs annual Nano-Mugen Festival. The album also featured a new song by AKG called "Jyuni Shinhou no Yukei".
In the fall, AKG began to pick up a lot of momentum. They released another album titled "Feedback File". The album commemorated the bands ten year anniversary with a bit of a twist. Instead of including their most popular songs, the album only featured b-side tracks from singles, live recordings from performances, and old songs from their days as a Indies band. Those who bought a special version of the album also recieved a DVD with spectacular concert footage. In addition to the album, AKG announced that they would be going on a short winter tour called the Sui-Cup. The theme of the Sui-Cup Tour was "The Start of a New Season" and included about two dozen concerts.
AKG ended the year with a great announcement. They had been commissioned by the director of the upcoming anime movie Tekkon Kinkreet to create a song that would be featured in the movie. AKG created a song called "Aru Machi no Gunjou" and released it as a single prior to the debut of the movie. According to Gotoh, the lyrics for "Aru Machi no Gunjou" were actually inspired by the manga Tekkon Kinkreet and not the movie. The single has done quite well and has recieved a lot of coverage from major companies like Excite and Oricon.
