About This Site
Why did you make a website?
I actually never intended to make a site like this in the beginning. I was trying to test myself to see if I could create one and get it up on the net. This is my first website, so I was not sure how challenging it was to create one at the beginning. I also had absolutely no idea how to use html tags or java...and still don't :) So I loaded up my handy Microsoft Publisher and just started creating a website. I love Publisher cause it does all the html stuff for you. You just create the info and pics and such. And as you can see, I was pretty successful at getting a website up. I have now moved away from that program and code everything my self with notepad :)
Why AKG?
I wanted to do a website on something that did not already have a million links to it. I love artists like T.M. Revolution and Nanase Aikawa, but there were already a ton of fan sites. I did not just want to copy the works of others.
I had heard the song, Haruka Kanata, by AKG a while back...so I decided to try more of their songs. After I heard some more of their songs like Flash Back, Mirai no Kakera, and Kimi to iu Hana, I knew they were really good. I also knew they were a fairly new band so I thought this was a great chance to create a website about them.
When was this site created?
This site was originally created in January 2004, but was hosted on a free server. The site was moved to the host DH2, February 26, 2004, and then to Canaca Servers in Dec. 2004...and I have been quite pleased with the service of this new host.
Info about me:
For the purposes of this site, I go by the nick name akfgfan or Katie. I'm a 21 year old girl in the US...and that is about all you will get about my private life. I actually got into Japanese music through anime. I like mostly pop music, but there is something special about AKG that has sparked my interest. Other bands/singers I like are TM Revolution, Nami Tamaki, BoA, L'arc en Ciel, Nanase Aikawa, HY, Move, and Changing my Life.
Will you create any other websites?
I have been playing around with this idea for a while and still am not sure. I think I am mostly waiting to find another new artist that will wow me like AKG did. If you have any suggestions, please share!
