Japanese Reviews:

Amazon.co.jp:
"Naruto, Full Metal Alchemist, and now a 3rd animated cartoon; however, it is a movie this time. I think this fits Ajikan most. And the tune is also very good. It reminds me of "Blue Train" somehow though it sounds more like "Sakuragusa". The melody of the guitar has a nostalgic feeling and the development of the rhythm is also interesting. There is a dashing feeling with a comfortable tempo and a drifting/floating feeling too."
Cricket

"I waited a long time for this after listening to it on the radio a few days ago. It was better than expected though I had wondered whether it would be like "Sakuragusa" at first. It is well made and will suited for the movie. Although the melody is rock, above all it is beautiful. Please listen to this without reservations."

Overall,a good single. Aru Machi no Gunjou is a great song that shows a lot of maturity and growth. I just wish that Kugenama Surf was longer so it wouldn't be such a short single.
