My Review of the CDFor those who keep up on Asian Kung-Fu Generation's news know that this is quite a unique CD. The CD was essentially created to advertise for AKG's Nano-Mugen Festival in July. Each artist on the CD will be performing at the festival, so this CD is to get your music taste buds salivating for more :) After listening to the cd, I actually found myself wanting to hear more! There are only 8 songs on the cd and the majority of them are actually in English! AKG invited several Japanese bands and international bands to this festival so it was odd, yet really cool to hear a cd with a mix of Japanese and English songs. Ash, Dogs Die in Hot Cars, Ellegarden, Farrah, and Industrial Salt sing in English. Asian Kung-Fu Generation, Sparta Locals, and Straightener sing in Japanese. Overall, the cd is very good and upbeat. I would dare to say that Blackout is probably actually the slowest track. Another thing I really loved about this cd is that the lyrics are fairly clean, understandable, and leave you wanting to sing along. For those who live with parents and/or under 18, this is a safe CD that even your family could listen to. Below is a listing of the tracks with comments! Track Listing1. Ash - Burn Baby Burn Upbeat song with a catchy chorus and guitar tunes 2. Asian Kung-Fu Generation - Blackout The song has a pace similar to Loop and Loop. The chorus is pretty awesome and Gotoh's voice sounds great! 3. Dogs Die in Hot Cars - I Love You Cause I Have to It has cute lyrics. The line "I Love You Cause I Have to" might get stuck in your head :P 4. Ellegarden - Bored of Everything Ever get that feeling where you're just bored, can't finish stuff, and don't know why? This song is totally for you then 5. Farrah - Tongue Tied Perfect song for any fans who love a celebrity. Catchy melody and fairly upbeat 6. Industrial Salt - Sugar Bomb Baby Only girl vocals on the cd. Its a cute love song about meeting a guy :) 7. Sparta Locals - Lock and Honey Starts off slow and picks up speed after about the first 30 seconds. The vocalist sounds a bit like the Pillows 8.
