Count 4 My 8 Beat Review

Attendee and all credit goes to SrA Parton. Thank you!

Overview

Count 4 My 8 Beat is a nation wide tour by AKG. It started in Spring 2006, shortly after the release of the album Fan Club. The tour includes 37 performances by AKG. The tour will end on July 5th, 2006. The following is information graciously shared by a fan who went to one of the Count 4 My 8 Beat concerts!

Merchandise

Several items were for sale at the concert. There were three t-shirts: one with Count 4 My 8 Beat and tour dates, and white and black fanclub t-shirts featuring a snowglobe sillhuette image of the group. There was a new picture book with Gotoh on the front cover. There were also other small items such as stickers, an LED keychain with the Fan Club cd cover, wristbands, and mufler towels.

Concert Performance

The concert opened and closed with green laser lighting that made the members appear as sillheuettes. The playlist consisted of songs from Fan Club, Sol-Fa, Kimitsunagi Five M, and Houkai Amplifier. One big surprise at the concert was that they played Uso to Wonderland, which features Kensuke on vocals! The biggest surprise though was when they played Rewrite. At the middle of the song where the song breaks down, the band actually switched to a jazzy riff for a while. Gotoh then pulled out a tambourine (without the cymbols) and drummed along. Then Kensuke played some shakers and a whistle before they resumed the song! It was amazing! Haruka Kanata got the biggest crowd response.
