Overview

The Time Past and I Could Not See You Again is AKGs first cd! It was compiled while they were still an Indies band long ago. It is now very rare to find and some people are charging as much as 200 dollars for a copy of this!

My Review of the CD

Okay, I have been waiting forever for this CD!!! Its AKGs first cd! Its an entity thats practically untouchable for anybody not living in Japan. So when I won this along with three other cds on a yahoo auction, I was estactic! When I recieved the cds, I found to my dissapointment that they were not originals but rather cd-r copies. Despite this small downer, I am still super happy that I can finally hear this mini-album :D

Overall I was really impressed with this mini-album! After listening to other works like I'm Standing Here, I assumed that this probably would not be very good since AKG was just starting out. In actuality, many of the songs on this album are far better than what was recording on the I'm Standing Here album. Most of the lyrics on this are English. Unfortunately, its sometimes hard to understand what Gotoh is singing. The mini-album gets off to a great start with the song I wonder if everybody can sing their scream and Nothing is the matter?. It then ends with the song My Friend, which is a slow ballad. Below are some commentaries on each song. Overall this is a great mini-album and you should definitely keep an eye out for it on japanese auction pages :)

Track Listing

1. I wonder if everybody can sing their scream (8/10)
Nice song with a catchy beat! Gotoh is pretty understandable too which is a plus :)

2. Nothing is the matter? (9.5/10)
I really like this song! Kita and Gotoh take turns singing, creating a catchy melody. Kita also sounds a bit different and his vocals are a bit rough.

3. Living Dead (10/10)
This is my favorite song on the album! They need to re-record this song on their upcoming album :D

4. Wash Out (7/10)
Just a okay song. It just doesn't really catch my attention.

5. Say No! (8/10)
Good punk rock song :)

6. My Friend (7/10)
Slow ballad song about friends. Pretty good, but does not quite have the emotion that Gotoh now uses in other songs like Kaigan Doori.
